Baby is an adult, female Sun Conure. She is hand tame but a bit cage protective. She is an awesome little girl! You can visit her at Bonnie’s Birds, 4300 Kings hwy, Pt. Charlotte beginning 12/3/2011
Luis is an adult Timneh Grey, hatched in 1993. He is re-growing all his feathers. Luis now has 3 tail feathers coming in and his chest has complete;y refeathered. 11/24/11 Luis has a fully feathered chest and he can no longer answer to “Chicken Butt” because he has a tail!
Stormy is an adult Timneh African Grey, hatched in 1995. Stormy is growing new feathers! Stormy is hand tame. She will need to be closely observed for any medical issue involving her deformed cere/nares but is a sweet heart. It is not visible in this picture but Stormy’s chest is bare. Dusty is an adult female, Congo African Grey, hatched in 1994. Dusty is having a chronic egg laying issue and will be on hold until this is resolved. She needs to live on a home without other Greys or a male bird. She is sweet and cuddly. Dusty has one loud noise she makes and it is the sound of a nail gun. Dusty has gone through some egg laying and has plucked her chest but is now letting it grow back in. Beginning 12/3/2011 you can visit with Dusty at Bonnie’s Birds, 4300 Kings Hwy, Pt. Charlotte
Ollie is a presumed, female, B&G. She came to rescue with her brother Ben. They live in side by side cages and would like to find a home together. She says, “do you like it”, “I love it”, “hello” and “love you”. Ollie is just bursting with personality. 1/21/11 Ollie is allowing foot touching and chest scritches. She is now stepping one foot up and giving kisses.
Zach is an adult, male, Red-Sided Eclectus. He loves to eat and talk. He has had a plcuking issue for awhile now but seems to be letting his feathers re-grow now. He was on a very poor diet prior to coming to us and has a problem with beak overgrowth. We are hoping this will be corrected with proper nutrition, toys and care. He will require regular vet visits for beak trims. Zach is re-feathering in his wonderful foster home. He is now stepping up as well.
Ruby Red is a Blue Streak lory. She is hand tame. Ruby loves to take baths in her bath bowl and washes her foot toys as well. She speaks a few phrases. Her adoptive family must understand and be willing to provide for her special dietary needs. Ruby does pluck on her chest and stomach but leaves the downy fluff.
Xena is a female 8-9 yr. old, female B&G Macaw. She is hand tame and loves to get scritches. Xena is a very docile girl. She loves food and enjoys treats such as chicken bones. She does get a bit upset at going back in her cage. She will sit on top of her cage as long as she’s allowed.
Parrotlets, Sophie & Ziggy are a hand tame pair that must be adopted together. Sophie has an old beak injury caused by another bird but it does not hinder her ability to eat or play. Beginning 12/3/2011 you can visit us at Bonnie’s Birds, 4300 Kings Hwy, Pt. Charlotte
Indy is a female orangewing Amazon. She likes to tell you she’s a pretty girl. She prefers spending time hanging out with you to getting scritches but will it and will share many kisses with you. Mary Jane is a believed to be female B&G Macaw. She is hand tame but has some typical female Macaw attitude. Mary Jane’s toes are somewhat deformed we believe from not having proper size perches. They do not create a problem for her perching or playing. Mary Jane was rescued by a good samaritan from a drug house.
Chico is an adult, male Yellow Nape Amazon. He is hand tame but only with the person he chooses. Chico has an extensive vocabulary, with a few unfortunate words thrown in. He has spent his entire life with men and has never been known to choose a woman.
Bert Birdie is an adult, male Greencheek Conure. He prefers males. Bert is currently working on his manners, he can be grouchy. he will need an experienced bird person to live with. He does not like other birds and will be aggressive with them if given the chance. Visit me at Bonnie’s Birds 4300 Kings Hwy., Pt. Charlotte
Keiko is an adult Senegal Parrot. He spent 12 yrs. in a loving home and was very tame. Keiko has had some fright issues since l osing his owner. Tends to run from hands and can be cage protective but once out is a sweet heart. Keiko needs an experienced bird person to live with. He will continue to work on manners while in rescue.
Nugget is an adult, male Goffin’s Cockatoo. He will be on hold for behavioral rehabilitation. Says “Mama” and a few other words but has not learned the step up command and can be unexpectedly nippy at times.
Verde is a hand tame Quaker parrot. He is just loaded with personality! Can be cage territorial as many Quakers are but a doll baby out of his cage. Visit verde at Bonnie’s Birds, 4300 Kings Hwy., Pt. Charlotte
Jazz is a male Scarlet Macaw. He is hand tame and loaded with personality. He talks up a storm and loves to spend time with his human. Like many scarlets, Jazz has to learn that his human is the boss but once he does he is a teddy bear, giving and accepting kisses. he really enjoys his head scritches as well.
Blue is an adult, ale B&G Macaw. he has plucked himself bald for years and may never regrow feathers. He tends to choose 1 human as his own and rejects everyone else. His chosen human is a lucky person because blue will lay on his back and snuggle and give kisses.
Allie is an adult, female Alexandrine Parakeet. She is hand tame. Alllie loves to get head scritches and spend time with her human. You can visit Allie at Bonnie’s Birds, 4300 King’s hwy., Pt. Charlotte.
Charlie is a Blue front Amazon. His age is unknown. He presently is still trying to pu on weight from being badly neglected prior to coming to us. Charlie does some slight vision loss in his right eye due to calcium deposits. It causes some balance issues but he does well in a normal cage with some adaptations.
Jerry is a sweet and hand tame Normal Grey Cockatiel. He is currently residing at Thomas Messina day Care in Ft. Myers educating the future aviculturists of the area. He is available for adoption.
Kiwi & Mango are a Cinnamon Greencheek Conure and a Yellow Sided Greencheek Conure. They are hand tame and have spent their lives together. They are looking for a home where they can continnue to live together. Both are hand tame.
Zorro is a Nanday Conure. he will be available mid to late Feb. He is still working on manners and the step up command.
Ricky is an adult Yellow Nape Amazon. Ricky spent her life with one human before coming to rescue. She is looking for a quiet, adult home to call her own.
Mister is a male, Umbrella Cockatoo. He is hand tame but is a man’s bird. Mister does not care for women. He is looking for an adult, male home and human to call his own.
Indy is a senior, female Indian Ringneck. She is 25 yrs. old but has another 10 or 15 yrs. to go. She is hand tame. She can be a bit nervous of hands until she gets to know you.
Tucker is an adult, male Lesser sulphur Crest Cockatoo. he is hand tame. he seems to have stopped plucking at his chest but does continue to barber some of his feathers. Tucker is a great little guy but he is a Houdini when it comes to getting out of his cage.
Pretty Boy is an adult, male Umbrella Cockatoo. He is hand tame but has a definite preference for men. He barks like a small dog but can also be loud at times like any Too.
Indigo lives with Papaya, another lovebird. They have spent their lives together and cannot be seperated. They are both hand tame as long as their wings are kept clipped. Visit them at Bonnie’s Birds, 4300 Kings Hwy., Pt. Charlotte

Hobbes is an awesomely sweet Medium Sulphur Crest Cockatoo. he is hand tame and goes to anyone. he can be noisy at times like any Too but is basically a really good bird! Visit Hobbs at Bonnie’s Birds, 4300 Kings Hwy., Pt. Charlotte
AJ is a sweet B&G macaw. She was removed from a domestic abuse situation. it takes her a little bit to learn to trust you but once she does she is a sweet and cuddly girl! Visit AJ at Bonnie’s Birds, 4300 Kings Hwy., Pt. Charlotte
Fay is a Greencheek Conure. She was removed from a domestic abuse situation along with AJ the B&G. She is a sweet little bird who had a bad encounter with a cat prior to coming to us. She is blind in her left eye. She is a little hand shy until she learns to trust you . Fay does not require any special adaptations to her cage, she gets around like any fully sighted bird.
Squirt is a Greencheek Conure. She has a fluid filled cyst above her left eye that will require regular draining by a vet. It does not affect how she gets around. She is a sweet and hand tame gril who enjoys playing on top of her cage all day. She will even put herself to bed at night with a little help from her human in closing the door.
Jose & Lucy are a pair of Quaker Parakeets. they have lived together for a long while and cannot be seperated. They are typical Quakers in that they are cage territorial. once off their cage they are sweethearts! Jose has a huge vocabulary and Lucy speaks as well.
Stormie is a Congo African Grey. her human Mom loved her dearly but when she had a baby Stormie became very upset. She plucked all of her feathers and would just not accept sharing her Mom with the human baby. Stormie is looking for a quiet, adult home where she can be the center of attention.
Belle is a sweet and hand tame Sun Conure. She loves to spend time with her human. She is currently looking to find a new human friend!
Bogie is a hand tame, believed to be male B&G Macaw. He is 18 yrs. old and lived with the same human his entire life until he came to rescue. Bogey can be a bit stubborn and needs an experienced bird person to call his own.
Meet Frankie B. a Euorpean Parrotlet. Frankie can be a bit shy but is sweet once in hand. He is looking for his own human to love!
Meet Gracie a Half Moon Conure. Gracie is a big bird in a small bird body! Please understand Conures have a very distinct high pitch call. This sound can bother some humans so please do your research first. She is not a screamer but does need an experienced Conure person to call her own.
Misty is a sweet and lovable believed to be female B&G Macaw. She is looking for a human to call her own who has time to spend with her and will give her lots of love.
Pumpkin is a Parrotlet that is looking for love and a place to call his own. These little guys have big personality! They are very active and playful and require a large cage to move around in.
The 4 Amigos are all Parakeets. These birds were once aviary birds and are not hand tame currently. They would do well in an aviary setting or a home with a large cage that allows for short flight and playing. Their human friend would have to understand they will provide beautiful sounds and sites but not cuddling or handling.
Patches is a Severe Macaw. She prefers women. Patches is hand tame and enjoys head scritches. She speaks a few words/phrases.
Jaime is a totally sweet and awesome Goffin Cockatoo! He loves to play with his toys and his human. He is a basically quiet bird but can call his flock when needed.
Sunny is a sweet and hand tame Sun Conure that is looking for her own human to love.
Tinker and Peppy are best of buds! They have spent their entire life together and want to find a new home together. Tinker is a Greenwing Macaw and Peppy is a B&G Macaw.
Ryfiki is a Double Yellow Head Amazon. He is 9 yrs. old and hand tame. Ryfiki is a great bird but he is not a snuggler, like most Amazons, he would prefer to just spend time with you on your hand.
Meet Yago, a Blue Crown Conure. he is looking for his new human to spend time with. Yago is hand tame and does speak a few words.
